After releasing three albums with 4AD, The Lemon Twigs entered a new era at Captured Tracks with the release of Everything Harmony and A Dream Is All We Know, two “sister albums” released exactly one year apart. Together, these albums revitalized the band’s career, marked a major creative resurgence, and brought a new wave of fans into their world.
While the band worked closely with an independent creative advisor on album visuals, my role focused on the fan-facing content, social storytelling, and engagement strategy that reconnected The Lemon Twigs with audiences online and in real life.
Street Interviews — Reintroducing The Lemon Twigs to New York
I filmed and edited a series of street interviews around New York City, asking people if they knew The Lemon Twigs and about their favorite songs.
These videos helped humanize the band and reconnect them with the city they’re from. Several of these clips gained hundreds of thousands of views.
Webster Hall Fan Interviews — Capturing an Era in Real Time
At their sold-out Webster Hall show, I captured interviews with fans on the ground, building a portrait of The Lemon Twigs’ community. These videos highlighted the intensity, devotion, and personality of their audience, showing the hype around the band in that moment.
Influencer Campaign — Omnian’s First Ever
To support the album rollout, I launched Omnian’s first-ever influencer campaign, gifting vinyl to creators who aligned with The Lemon Twigs’ world. Despite having no budget, we secured multiple high-performing posts across TikTok, reaching tens of thousands of fans outside the existing audience, with a big cosign from Beatles influencer Elliot Roberts.
This strategy provided additional momentum around the album and set a template for future CT campaigns.
RESULT:
Across these two album cycles, the campaign re-engaged longtime fans, brought in a younger audience, and strengthened the band’s visibility during a major creative resurgence. It delivered consistent, high-performing content across CT socials, generated strong influencer reach with no paid spend, and helped re-establish The Lemon Twigs within the Captured Tracks community, ultimately creating a content and engagement blueprint for future label releases.
